With this spacer, you can use your sport battery with your long nose cone for the max battery.
It’s especially useful with a trench board but some people also claim the long nose cone has less drag than the short one on a regular board. The foam that contacts the front of the battery actually presses the battery into place and feels more secure and rattle-free under foot than with the sport battery nose cone.
